No not on a 1995, just change out the battery with new. Also once started go somewhere and have the charging system checked to make sure it is working to keep the new battery charged up.
Rowefast, how does the post connect to the battery so the car can be jump started? I'm glad I don't have to fiddle around with another connection, just not sure how the remote post makes contact with the battery...... Thanks again!
Oh, on the remote post those are in like a fuse box? not sure but still positive to pos, & negative a ground, anything metal on the engine. Same with connecting to the battery, You must have a side mount battery, little tricky in keeping the cable on but I do it all the time, just make sure the side the jumper cable attached to the clamp of the jumper cable is the side that makes contact on the battery terminal. Put positive on battery, put negative to anything solid metal like a bolt or something on the engine, move the cable clamps around a bit to insure contact.
Yup, it's a stupid side post battery, but at least I only have to *partly* disassemble the engine to get to it! I'll just weasel the jumper cable down to the positive post on the battery itself and try that. Many thanks!
