no there was no factory made 95 convertible. I have seen some that people turned in to convertibles but there have been only 2 or 3 that I have seen and that was awhile ago
There are 28 convertible Riviera's which were manufactured in 1998, not 1995. They were built somewhere in Florida, but I'm sure you can look it up and find it... I don't know.
i actually owned 1 of only 15 ever made and they were sent out from dealerships around the detroit metro area as far as i could tell. i had the only one in burgandy with tan leather interior. was an amazing car! well done from the guys in Florida
Yes in 1996-1998 there were only a few made. Coach Builders limited made them. There were an additional 25k. I currently own one now. They also did the Cadillac ETC. They currently do the 4-dr Cadillac STS,CTS . They also do 4- dr Chrysler 300 and Charger.
Coach Builders Limited has formed a new version of themselves...They are now called Drop Top Customs (http://www.droptopcustoms.com/) They are located in High Springs, FL

From my combined research there were 15 sent by GM TO BE customized by Coach Builders. Currently they’ve renamed their company and they have no records of the Rivs I own a green 1 and been have Hell Trying to re Upholster the TOP because there is no tags to steer you to the right direction. I love it tho. help if you have any info

Actually, there was ONE made in 1995, although incomplete. The stories (yes, multiple) are that someone at Buick/GM wanted to convince the bosses that the Riv could be sold as a convertible, so one was created. It was not complete (no roof, not all wires connected, etc.) and it sat in the Heritage Collection (GM museum) until 2009 when GM declared bankruptcy. There are a number of 1996 - 1999 convertibles, but they are all after market conversions.
I detailed the exterior of the one-off today. Apparently this one was built by a GM employee who was let go after building it.
