1994 Buick Lesabre misfiring

Asked by JDM81 Mar 14, 2016 at 07:02 PM about the 1994 Buick LeSabre

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1994 Lesabre with the 3.8.  The car is currently running on 4
clyinders, (5, and 6 are not operating properly), I say not properly, becasue
we have replaced, and tested the ignition module, the coil packs, and all
are firing at the pack, wire, and plug. we tested the injectors, and they are
firing, also tested compression, good on all cylinders.  We are also
experiencing a battery drain. It seems to be pointing to an ECM, had the
engine codes read, only getting midfire code. Any other ideas?

Maybe to simple but are u sure plugs are firing properly? Few bucks to replace and try, jus a thought.

We first inspected the plugs, then cleaned them, then replaced them. They are firing, but when the wires are removed, the car runs exactly the same...just on 5, and 6.
