Engine stalling

My car cranks and runs really rough for
about 5 minutes or so and dies. I've replaced
the fuel pump, filter and injectors, the coil
pack and ICM, crankshaft position sensor,
purge valve solenoid, O2 sensor, idle air
control, mass air flow sensor and throttle
position sensor. I've done a tune up and oil
change. But for some reason it just keeps
dieing on me. I drove it about a month ago
and it cut off while I was driving. Please,
please please someone help me. I'm at
wicks end. I don't want to sell my car
because it's very reliable.

Sounds like you have a clogged catalyst converter or muffler.

Anyone end up with a conclusion to that? I've got similar problems with my 97 Park Avenue Ultra 3800 Series 2. If it is the Cat, what would have caused it to all the sudden stall on me on the freeway? Prior to that, it had been making loud knocking sounds. I suspected Rod Knock, but I am vigorously seeking alternative endings to this story.

I'm curious to know also I've been wrestling with the same problem 2 weeks before the first of this year I've replaced the fuel filter, I have pressure, I disconnected the cat and thought that was it but this morning as I got on the highway it dies again. I'm leaning toward throwing a crank position sensor and maf sensor at it and see what it does. Please some one out there help.

The cause may be the fuel pump relay, (if you have not replaced it yet) sometimes its the most simple things ever...
