What is the maximum weight GM recommends for a 1991 Reatta Coupe to tow (given appropriate hitch, etc.)?

Gm does not recommend this car for towing, not heavy enough for stability during towing trans not strong enough internally to last.

The owners manual did not list a tow amount.... some owners have had hitches made and towed light trailers
