Check engine light on 06 pt cruiser

Check engine light came on the day after I purchased car
from seller had code checked it read p1604 which was pcm
purchased a new one just installed it and check engine light
is still on hooked up the reader and still p1604 ..can't get
car smogged till I get that light off...any suggestions????

Well today I have 3 more codes shot at me u0101..p0700..p1603...p1604.. where my PRND is located all the luminated boxes are lit up then they blink off and on...first I started with one code p1604 which was pcm I bought a refurbished one called company sending new one....does anyone have any clue wth is going on??? Could it be I just need a new pcm?

I bought mine took a screwdriver to start it because ignition was bored out that night pull started it because it wouldn't crank over it pop started started right up ran really good next day pulled it wouldn't do anything wiggled screwdriver in ignition and it would make like it
