what is yellow light on dash looks like a light symbol

i started truck ...may have touched something....yellow symbol appeared on dash and an
audible ding ding sound when door opens?

Maybe too late for this answer but I think it might be that your cargo light is on. It is easy to accidentally touch due to its location by the headlight knob.
