I have a 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 3.7 liter manual transmission truck. Why is it stalling when I go into 2nd gear to make a turn? I loose power steering and my brakes. I just replaced the battery. Help!!!

When I down shift into 2nd gear my truck stalls and I have no power steering
and I loose my brakes as well. I just replaced the battery.

Is this only in 2nd gear? Make sure you don't lug the engine by selecting too high of a gear.

So far yes it only happens when I slow down in 2nd gear.

Maybe your engine needs attention. How long since you tuned it up?

This may sound dumb but are you sure you are in 2nd gear when this happens and that you are not accidentally shifting into 4th instead?
