Engaging 4wheel drive

Question type: General

I have a 2005 ram 1500 with 4wheel drive. When engaging the 4wheel do I need to be stopped or moving when
engaging it??? Shifter is on floor..

If your switching between 4h and 2h or 2h and 4h you can do it while moving. Just have the wheels straight and don't have it under heavy load. When changing into and out of 4L be stopped with no load on wheels. Best if in neutral.

I just bought a 05 Dodge Ram 1500 the 4 wheel drive is on the floor , do I keep it in 2H or N when not using it?

Leave it in park when you are not using it.

Leave in 2h brodi if you pit the transfer case in neutral you will be in True Neutral
