What is "Hot" in your opinion. normal operating range is between 190-220 on the 4.7 V8 and the Hemi.

Does it run hot going down road, at idle or both? Double check to make sure the thermostat is installed correctly. Check the radiator cores for blockage. With the engine just above cool open radiator cap ( carefully) and rev engine some. You should notice the fluid level drop in radiator a substantial amount. This gives good indication of proper pump function.
