Why cant i put my 2000 dodge ram in 4 wheel high?

It will go in 4 wheel low, N, and 2 wheel high though. And when im in 4 wheel low evey now an then ill hear a clicking noise. the most i hear it at a time was 2. Click click as its driving. I feel like a gear is slipping or something.

you may be having issues with your transfer case. you may want to take it to the transmission shop or a shop specializing in transfer cases and see what they have to say.
