Tranny ok???

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

A hose popped off and all my fluid spewed out and
pickup would drive. I pulled over, seen the problem,
put the hose back on, then replaced 3 liters of tranny
fluid and drove it home. What next? Should I add
more fluid? '99 dodge ram 1500 Should I not drive it?

Do I need to run till the tranny is warm, then check the level of fluid...or ok when motor is cold?

It is best to check the level when warm but use the cold mark on the dipstick to get the level close.
