The backed of the 318 and 360 magnum are identical, the post says 1987 dodge ram, if it's the 1987, it won't. It will fit in the 1997 however as the transmissions are the same. All the clearances between the 1997 and 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 will be the same, driveline, crankshaft etc. They're the exact same truck. Again I repeat, for the 1997 it will work, but not for a 1987... I think you meant 1997 as that's what was in the desc, correct me if I'm wrong.

From 95 to 2000 they should all fit if they are 318 or 360 5.2 or 5.9 they are the same

Yes they will only difference is 1996 could still be vacume instead of electronic at.the beging of 96 they were still vacume but that shouldnt stop it from interchangeing
