i have a 1996 dodge ram 1500 with a 5.2 i keep getting random missfires on number 1 than all 8 i have new plugs, wires, rotor and cap the only thing im thinking is injectors is there anything else before i spend the cash

thats the thing i have tripple checked everything its correct and runs fine just rough every once in a while mainly like around overdrive gear

if it feels like a rough or choppy acceleration in overdrive its most likely the overdrive clutches slipping, pull your transpan down and check your magnet for clutch material, if it has that on it the over drive usnit is a seperate piece of the transmission on the back you pull the unit off and bring it to your trans shop and theyll rebuild it for you

may be the pistol or spark plugs r not properly fitted / go 2 nearest dodge showroom say them 2 fix it and it is in warrtry

1 and 8 are complete opposite of each other on the engine 1 is left front cylinder, 8 is on the passenger side rear. It could be an injector(s) However 1 and 8 fire right after each other on the distributor. I would lean toward a problem in or with the distributor. That's my bust suggestion based on your descriptions.
