Dash lights

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2006 ford fusion all dash lights continuously blink
off and on and no Gage's work... Was told the key
was dropped in water and ruined sensor... Could
this be it or does anyone know Wat it could be? I
may be buying this car but want to make sure it's
nothing major... Also does anyone know how many
miles u can get out of the motor if it's properly
moistened?

    My dash lights only come on when headlights are off. They will not come o when auto is on or when I turn on my headlights. But my lights are working.
