How do i get the rear brake drums off?

I get as far as taking 'the axle nut off but the drum still won't come off

Shoes wear into the inside of the drums and form a groove. That's probably what's holding the drums on. If you go through the back, there's a slot where the brake adjustment wheel is. If you click it with a brake spoon or screwdriver you can bring the shoes back in together a bit, enough to get the drums off.
