$2000 can be better spent on something with lower miles- unless you just GOTTA have a Taurus-

I'd want ALL of the maintenance records for any Taurus, proving regular oil changes and many parts replaced. If they haven't done a lot of work on it recently (brakes, tires, and especially gaskets, fuel injection and front suspension parts these cars are known for needing), then you'll be spending at least $2000 on it in the near future.
