4x4 wont engage

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

4x4 wont do anything when I turn switch to
engage.  Usually you can hear a click before it
engages but nothing.

If the 4x4 actuator motor is good....not burned out, check the following fuses in the passenger compartment: #9, #10, #11, #15, and #16. Then go to the power distribution box under the hood. Check fuses #20 and #22. All these are involved in the operation of the 4x4 system. If all the fuses are good, then I would think the actuator motor is bad.
