2004 F350 6.0 won't start

Asked by gelnee1 Jul 07, 2013 at 09:51 AM about the 2004 Ford F-350 Super Duty

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

It has 172,000 miles on it always starts when cold, however, if warm shut off for 15
minutes or less, cranks but won't start.  If I wait until it cools off about 30 minutes, starts
just fine.  This does not happen every time, about 60% of the time.

It maybe a hotsoak problem. Make sure your fuel line to the injector isn't boiling the fuel. What I mean is make sure the fuel line isn't sitting on intake or worse exhaust areas. Generally this condition is on a carburated engine. So I may not even know what I'm talking about. Good luck. I'm sure there are tech's here that will help.
