Car seat configurations for 3

Asked by Kirk May 25, 2009 at 09:34 AM about the 2003 Ford Explorer Sport Trac

Question type: General

I own a 2003 Sport Trac XLT, and my wife and I are expecting our third child.  Has anyone come up with a config to get one booster seat, one toddler car seat and a baby car carrier in the back of a Sport Trac.  Considering moving up to a Tahoe or Exped. but would be better to stay in ST. Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, you can. There are latch hooks on both sides, thus put the one baby seat on outside, booster in the center and toddler seat on outside. I have run this configuration with my own 3yr old, and my nephews, works great, but just a little snug.

The Tahoes ride nice and have a lot of room, I just couldnt take having to wash the Chevy off me with a brillo pad when I got home :)
