how do i sell a pickup bed without the vin number
I am not selling the truck. Took dually bed off truck and put flat bed on and would like to
sell the dually bed.
Put it on eBay and Craigs list. Not many people are going to be paying for cross country shipping.
You don't need the VIN for just the bed. It is considered a car part as it isn't a whole vehicle so no VIN number or title is required to sell it. You can sell it just like any other automotive part. These used beds go anywhere from $250 for an older used bed to $2500 for a new take-off. I would try a site like TruckTrader.com or TruckPaper.com or a similar online site. You could also Google "Truck beds for sale" . A whole bunch of sites pop up like pickuptruckbeds.net. Truck beds are good sellers and you should sell it fairly quick. All the flatbed and ultility bed companies sell "take-off" beds from their conversions. Possibly call one of those companies and see how they get rid of them. They might be able to tell you a place that buys them. Truck beds can be hauled and shipped on a car trailer so out of area sales is quite probable.
