There is typically a plastic facia that has to be removed before you can get to the screws that are holding your stereo in place. Once the screws are removed, just unplug the rear connections and replace the deck with your favorite aftermarket unit. Make sure to replace the factory radio with an aftermarket of about the same size (DIN2, DIN3, DIN4, etc). This will look the best when the job is done.

thank you, but my problem is with getting the plastic facia off without breaking it.(i am not replacing the stereo, just adding xm.) there are tiny holes in it in each corner, i stuck a small screwdriver in the hole to see if it would somehow release it but i didnt feel anything that might release it. any suggestions?

The plastic facia is able to be removed like your door panels, there is a plastic rivet with clips on it. Pull on this piece and it'll sound like its breaking, but its not.
