Question type: General

I bought an 06 Yukon, seems every other complete
stop then begin to accelerate there is a strange
whirring buzzing sound that sounds like it's just on
the other side of the firewall. Almost like an electric
motor retracting or winding something. I can feel it
in the pedal while the noise is present. The sound
lasts 2-3 seconds. What in the world is it, it drives
me crazy?

It's the same sound the windshield sprayer makes. A friend says sounds like a wheel sensor went and the abs is kicking in.

@GuruXS93W - did you ever find out what the noise was? I have a 2012 Yukon and it is making the same noise, only last a few seconds and happens so randomly.

My 2011 Denali does it also. Sounds like the compressor for autoride suspension. Going bad.
