pull the trouble codes with an OBD-II code reader...you can get one for fifteen bucks....else you can take it to an autoparts store where they can connect their code reader too~

what can happen is over time the MAIN ground connection....Battery TO the chassis/fender ground becomes corroded with 300 cold cranking amps through that one spot....what you must do is disassemble the bolt and wire brush the lug...both sides....use a pliers to hold it so as not to flex that cable too much....and the chassis too (where the lug bolts to) ....and with the correct voltage supplied to the heated 02 sensors need the voltage to heat and take readings....these heated 02 errors will disappear...for one~
I did all those things and still runs eraticly
Changed the fuel filter but I think that the fuel pump is going out cause when u hit the gas it bogs out filter was plugged so it probly put strain on the pump

...in that case I'd take a looksee at your fuel pressure regulator...to make sure it's not blocked and the diaphragm is still intact~ https://www.google.com/#q=2001+GMC+Sierra+1500+fuel+pressure+regula tor

you should be able to "reset the codes" with renewed ground potential should not be giving them anymore~
