I have known a few people in my are that have attempted simlilar swaps. Of course the newer engine and transmission will need to go along for the modification ride. And the Powertrain control module, engine and trans mission wiring harnesses. This is a big project that will take a lot of time and research. Stop by some local shops and dealerships a talk to the technicians and friendly parts people. Good luck.$$$ If it is a 5.7L engine it will be much easier than a 5.3L or a 6.0L
