1997 Jaguar XK8 problem with amber engine light on

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just put my Jag on the road after a lengthy 10 months stint in the garage at home.
After charging the battery, it started straight away and I drove it with no problems for
about 10 miles, stopping at least twice and turning off the engine. Each time the car
restarted up fine. I get home and leave it for about 5 mins with the engine off before
trying to put it back in the garage. This time when trying to restart, the engine light
came on "Check Engine" and would not start? The car engine turns over but will not
fire up?
Any ideas before i have to tow it to a Jag shop tomorrow?

Thx
