All the dashboard lights are on.

I replaced the battery and changed out the battery clamps and made sure they were on tights. Now all the dashboard lights are on and the new battery wont hold a charge. The car will start but wont idol. Please help.

When you say 'dashboard lights' do you mean all the Warning icons or are you talking about the dash back-lights to see the instrument cluster?..the ones you can dim...and while installing battery did you accidentally cross the terminals, even for a fraction if a second..or touch the red Pos+ from battery to ground? Put another way while installing battery at any time did it produce sparks? And was everything OK before..besides needing a battery?

yes there was a spark. I touched something with the tool I was using. I also was talking about the dashboard warning lights. I guess that's what you get when you try to do a mans job. lol

Can u show me a A picture of the dashboard light so I can see what the light means that come on?
