Can I use a ragtop with glass instead of plastic and still use my optional hardtop on a 1992 Miata?

Asked by Arna_2000 Feb 24, 2017 at 09:15 PM about the 1992 Mazda MX-5 Miata

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have the optional hardtop and want to continue to use it in the winter but I
need a new  ragtop and want to go with the one with glass instead of plastic
back window.  The plastic is the reason I need a new one it is hazy and
discolored.

I have never seen a glass window in a convertible top. Try calling a auto glass place to see if they can replace the plastic window.

Lots of convertibles have glass rear windows and they are so much better than the old plastic windows. If the new top folds down all the way the hard top should work.
