Mini One Coolant Loss

10

Asked by Al Feb 23, 2019 at 07:24 AM about the 2006 MINI Cooper

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Coolant needing topping up every other day.  Had
pressure test done, checked the thermostat
housing and no gunge in the oil cap.

On driving the car with a full coolant reservoir after
a while you can hear "bubbling" and when
checking, the reservoir is drained.

Had it in the garage 3 times already.

It's a Mini One (not sure if that's the same as the
Cooper)

Any suggestions ??

It's going back in on Thursday for an electrician to test the fan and yes they did mention possible head gasket issue (really hope it's not!!). Already done a pressure and leak test (don't know if it's the same as you've mentioned)

apparently, it may be that the radiator fan motor is up the spout !
