What would cause a car to misfire while driving (other than the obvious-water in the gas)? We put a gas dryer in everytime we put gas in. The car is a 2002 Saturn SL-2.

2002 Saturn SL-2
Driving to work this morning, the car seemed like it started misfiring (like there was water in the gas).  We stopped and filled up (putting a gas dryer in) and had no more problems.  We put a gas dryer in everytime we put gas in the car.  My husband recently got gas a a station we haven't used in a while, because we found that there was water in the gas at that station.  What else could it be other than water in the gas?
