Value of Good Shape but a cracked Block !

What is the best method to sell my Outback wagon that is in overall good condition but has a cracked block? New tires, alternator, Battery
Looking to get some resale value on it - Suggestions ?

Look up it's blue book value via Edmunds (edmunds.com/), Kelly Blue Book (kelleybluebook.com/), or NADA (nadaguides.com/), then deduct cost of engine rebuild or replacement. You can try and sell it as a "mechanic's special" but you won't get much for it. You can part it out, but that will take a long time, and after all the good parts are gone you'll still have to scrap what is left. If it turns over or runs (even if poorly with the cracked block) then I'd cut my losses and sell it as a mechanic's special.
