Question type: Maintenance & Repair

She was driving and her car just slows and shuts
off. When tryin to crank it back up it wouldn't start.
A shop came by and took it to the house For us.
They say its an timing belt. They keep telling me
that the heads are tore up on it. But when i look up
a timing belt it says nothing bout and heads for a
timing belt. Does anyone have a guess of what it is
cause i feel the shop trying to jelp me.
