I NEED HELP!!

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My vw jetta started making a werid noise
like if ice cudes is being thrown at metal..i
put oil in the car.thinking maybe that would
help it.nut it didn't it stoped once then
started again...I need anti freeze at the
moment..but someone told me its the timing
belt.but that wasn't true...please help me
what do i do???
