I RECENTLY PUT 15W-30 SEMI SYNTHETIC COMMA OIL IN MY PASSAT TDI-PD, IT MEETS
505.00 SPECIFICATION, BUT CAN I RUN THIS-OR WILL IT DAMAGE MY ENGINE IN TIME ?IM
TOLD 505.01 IS THE SPECIFIDE OIL

The problem with not using the correct Volkswagen certified oil is actully not the engine but the lubrication of the camshaft that works the Injection pumps in a Pomp duece or direct injection unit injection system, not the engine bearings etc.
Your Oil is only for Diesel without Pumpe-Düse-Injection.You have to change your oil because the injection-element isn't greased enough.Here in Germany the replacement of a single injector costs ca. 500€.But you have 4 of them! In the worst case,the injector can break and damage your engine.
