01 Jetta 2.0 misfiring after ECU replacement

Asked by Damon Mar 29, 2019 at 04:53 PM about the 2001 Volkswagen Jetta

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My O2 sensor had frayed wires and shorted out my ECU. I
replaced them both and the car ran decent for a half hour
test drive. The next morning I fired her up and it has been
misfiring horribly ever since. The dash blinks like it's
Christmas. Any ideas what could've happened?
