How maney O2 sensors on a 2000 VW Bettle

buy a VW the code shows bank 1 sensor 2 Oxygen sensor once in a while. it has a current smog. The seller said he would replace the sensor I think it should be both

Sensor 1 is the HEGO and the important one. Sensor 2 only monitors, NO control of engine computer or fueling events . BUT indicates the catalytic converter is having a problem. Tell the seller to forget about the 02 sensor there only approx $60... Tell him you want a NEW CAT converter installed then you will purchase. Regards

Somebody wrecked the car and sensors are missing I need to know which one and we're at it go on the radiator and the cooling system
