My convertible top suddenly quit working. I do not have a manual. It was discovered that the resevoir was empty. We have refilled many times and it just sucks the fluid somewhere? Is there an easy fix? Help

i'm actually really confused as to where the fluid could be going? It's not leaking out of the pipes anywhere is it? Are you seeing it on the ground or anything? That is very strange. You could swing by a VW dealership and get a manual, or a Chilton or haynes manual may help, although those are more for major repairs. Odd problem.

Actually after putting almost a quart of fluid in and trying to manipulate the roof I did find fluid on the driveway. It was leaking out on the passenger side right behind the door. There is a little rail that runs along the bottom and it was dripping out of there. Good news is when we tried to lower roof manually it wouldn't go all the way down and we were able to use the switch to lower the rest of the way. Now to find the leak.

Having same issue with 1999. Resevior was empty. Filled multiple times. Don't see a leak. Can only put up/ down manually while pressing switch. Now it's a 2- man job. Errg.
