Car doesn't start when it is raining or humid. What can cause that?  Some friends suggested that the problem could be in distributor car - cap was replaced but the problem is still there...

Sounds like perhaps there is a problem with the distributor drive itself, or something electrical like the ignition coil. Have this checked by a mechanic. Did you replace the ignition rotor at the same time as the distributor cap? How about plugs and wires?

Sometimes, even though you replace the distributor cap, depending on where you live, mosture can condense in the cap. Try spraying the inside with a moisture inhibitor. If its an older car, sometimes moisture will cause the condenser to fail. Good luck

vw has a horrible case of crappy coils on the 3rd generation vw's (93-99.5) the problem is either your coil pack or wires but i'd put my money on the coil pack. mine goes out ever year and a half.
