Oxygen Sensor and Catalyst Problem?

Hi, I'm trying to get emissions renewed for the car. The battery had died prior to
this and when i went to get emissions renewed the mechanic said my Oxygen
Sensor And Catalyst Didnt have the data they needed. Need to know what to
do to fix this please and thank you

With your gas gauge between three quarters and one quarter full just drive the vehicle for a few days and the readiness monitors will set. You will pass emissions inspection under Federal Law with one of the readiness monitors not set. Doesn't matter which one is not set as long as all the other ones are. Hope that helps! Jim

There's likely no problem, you just need to drive the car more. Depending on your state, you may be able to have one monitor showing "not ready", as Jim said. If the battery was disconnected, that reset all of the emissions monitors, therefore the drive cycle needs to be completed before they can appear "ready".
