Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi
I have 2006 C180 k , It idles rough. I have smoke
coming from beneath the in take. Error I get is
misfiring from cylinder 4. I removed the CAT,
because it was blocked and coursed the manifold
to crack and the dealership want $2100 for a
replacement. Then I bent valves coz my oil pump
stopped working. And Lost timing. I redone my
head completely. I thought this rough idling and
smoke would go away. But I can't figure out where
this petrol smelling smoke is coming from.

I really love this car. If I can find out where the leak is from I can fix it. And get it right.

It starts very easily, it's just the rough idling and smoke from beneath the intake that's all

-Have you removed the head to examine cylinder condition? I took to the engineering, i replaced all the valves, v guides, v stem seals, the pistons are not damaged, just have small scratches on them. the tead is back on and the car & starts. -Do the tires need replacing? no not really. the problem is the rough idling and the smoke. I guess i will have to check it out on autodata tomorrow
