Merc C180 not trasferring fuel

Mercedes C180 2005
The fuel isn't trasnferring from one tank to other, all pumps and sender
units (the basics) have been replaced.

When the fuel gauge hits just below half the car cuts out until fuel is
inserted

There is a switch betwen the two tanks ,it must be replaced by a new one,to let the fuel on the other tank pass into the fuel pump

Also check for a clogged vent this will also prevent the fuel from transferring...
