How can I disable my 2005 Mercedes Benz convertable.  The hydrolics are
shot & its too expensive to repair.  SOmetime if I go over a bump in road it
locks & I am unable to get into trunk.  And then sometimes I go over a bump
and it realigns & I can open it!

I just want to disable the convertible feature.The 8 hydraulics are dried out..I've replaced 3 of them, but its too costly to do them all. I'm ok with not putting the top down. The problem is sometimes when going over a bump, the top shifts and locks so you cannot open the trunk.
