I have a Mercedes Benz, C200 kompressor, W203, 2003 model 271 engine,

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Recently replaced gearbox, but
after installation, engine oil
pressure failed, replaced oil
pump, when engine cold
,pressure perfect, when engine
hot oil pressure drops from 5
bpm to 1 bpm, and engine runs
dry.

Yes he did, after checking all the actuators etc and manually testing oil pump, but completely baffled by situation.

Sounds, to be blockage in the oil drains in block,if oil pump went out,there may have been cooked oil in the ports,therefore blocking the oil from circulating.

Would this continue after engine hot, would this not rather be the case if engine cold. Please advise remedy to unblock. Thanks so much as we at our wits end with this vehicle !
