I have a c230 kompressor. my keys fell in water, i dried it out and left it apart for a couple of hours. it started working again for four hours then stopped. now when i put it in the ignition it does not turn the engine over nor does any light comes on. do i need a new key with the electronics or should i just open the key again and remove everything from inside for a couple of days

No you only need a new electronic remote. The key can be switched. Either see a locksmith or even AAA
