Question type: Maintenance & Repair

What would cause the electronic traction system (ETS) light to stay on.  The ABS lights comes on and goes off after 15 minutes.

on most new cars the ets has a switch to turn on and off, not sure about the benz.but with the abs staying on you need to take to dealer and have it checked out.

It's probably something basic like a wheel speed sensor but the ETS also reads from these sensors so it could be causing your problem if the ABS is acting funky. Have it checked out.

ETS and ABS work together. If ABS isn't happy, then neither is ETS. Have the wheel speed and ABS sensors checked out by a mechanic.
