very common. 95% its your blower motor, which has the integrated regulator. its pricey. first check fuses, but i doubt it. you'll prolly find some corrosion on the unit. why? water seepage through the under hood vent box. theres a TSB on this. you need to remove the ducts on passenger side, under hood, and silicone the mating surfaces to prevent, but the blower motor assembly needs to be replaced as well.

First off. take your time and find the issue 1 step at a time. Do not go out and buy nothing at all. who knows it could possibly be something very simple. It could be many things but like i said its probably something very simple down to a fuse or unhooking your battery cause they could be a glitch in the main computer. as for petey. no its not very common 95% its the blower motor. i work for GMC. all vehicles have the same setups. so little advise to the rookie dont tell that you know for sure what the problem may be.

were talking about a 251 benz right? ok like i said, fuse first. then what i should of said is you need to check for power at the connector of the blower assembly. two heavy wires should be B+ aka circuit 30 aka 12v, then you check for varying voltage on the other wires that control the regulator. or the "module" that is integrated into the blower assembly. voltage should vary proportional to fan speed request from the hvac control panel (IHKA or Klima for the euro techs) No i dont know the answear, the more i know the more i realize i need to know. As for magnum, gmc is not equivalent to mercedes.
