Hello, The 1972 Dodge Challengers were the 2-door hardtop and the 2-door hardtop Rallye edition. CarGrrl

Technically, I would say no but.....I have an early '72 model, "JS" so it is a Rallye but on the factory Consumer Information card it actually says Challenger R/T on it, not Rallye. So ake make what you will of it. :-)

According to the archives I’ve got the earliest known 72 challenger it’s a rallye 4 speed with AC. And the last of the vin is 00008. It says nothing about RT on it anywhere. Car was built Sunday August 1st 1971
