Question type: Car Customization

Is there any v6 or v8 motors that bolt into a 78 Dodge Challenger? If not... Does anyone know where to find a replacement 2.6L silent shaft  motor?

I knew where one was about a month ago, if its still available. If you own a '78 challenger I would like to get in contact with you. Contact me at brumitstn@charter.net

Hi I own a 1980 challenger. This is my second one. My first one was a 1980 and had the 2.6 5spd. It is remembered as the best car I have owned. I picked the second one up last year and will spend countless hours renewing it and bringing it back to its original shine. I know that these are not "MOPAR" challengers but they were really advanced for their time. Please contact me if you want kpopkeys@hotmail.com
