you are in luck ! I can tell you EXACTLY how to differentiate between 350 horse and 375 HP motors ... OK , providing it is a 440 or any RB (raised block ) mopar engine 413- 426W-440 the ID pad is located to the left of the distributor hold down clamp . it's about 2.5 inches by1.5 inches . On this pad will be some numbers and letters , ex. 440 L 8 . this would be a standard 440 (350hp) made in 1968 . If the letter following the 440 is a K it's a HP motor this is true from 67' thru 68 . from '69 thru '78 the code is like this 440 T 1 this would be a '71 440 standrd perf. motor . Really it makes no Diff if it's high perf. or not , up to '72 all 440's had steel cranks AND LATER MOTORS WITH CAST CRANKS WORK FINE ON THE STREET ... if you want more exact info as to the symbolic codes on the pad IE, diamond , malteese cross , X, etc. these are casting codes that designate certain block specifics like oversize cylinders or lifter bores or wheather or not the crank has standard size bearings , etc. .. hope this helps .. Almost forgot , the HP symbol from 69 tru 78 is a U and for a 440 sixpak motor its a V .... this is most of it.. PBN

If it's a 383 motor B (low block ) the pad is located at the side of the water pump mounting flange on the left side of the block . instead of being flat (horizontal ) like he RB. pad it will read front to back ( bend over the right front fender) instead of bending over the front end of the car (440) OK ?
