LIGHTLY, tap it with a dead blow hammer. its a gasketed fit between the carb, and the intake plenum due to engine vaccuum it tends to make a very tight seal over time and some times doesnt like to come apart. (ps im not a colt professional, im just speaking from expirience with other carbureted vehicles)

Hey do you want cupholders in your Dodge if you have that recess in front of shifter? Yours for the price of shipping. mgwellner@yahoo.com http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=562882
